Overall objective:
Work on maintaining and monitoring Clinical Applications for our business. Solving L2 technical issues and will also collaborate with team members across all departments to assist them with their technical requirements.
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Receives IT Clinical Application Support requests from L1 Service team (or directly from the IT Application Support Team Leader), prioritizes and manage them properly.
- Implement and configure clinical applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems such as HIS, RIS, LIS and PACS.
- Manage issues related to data exchange and interoperability between different healthcare information systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, clinical staff, and vendors to analyze requirements, design solutions, and troubleshoot issues.
- Provide training and support to end-users, including physicians, nurses, and radiology technologists, to optimize their use of clinical applications.
- Conduct system testing, validation, and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to clinical applications and healthcare informatics.
- Participate in the development and implementation of workflow enhancements and system optimizations to improve operational efficiency and patient care outcomes.
- Document processes, configurations, and technical specifications to maintain accurate records and support knowledge transfer within the organization.
Job requirements
Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Intermediate (B2+) English is a must
- Certifications are preferred
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Clinical Applications support.
- Certifications are preferred, but not required.
- Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of clinical solutions.
- Knowledge of HL7 / DICOM (nice to have)
- Occupational Health clinical workflow (nice to have)
- Good knowledge of the main healthcare components: HIS/RIS/LIS/PACS
- Willingness to solve IT problems and see projects through to completion.
- Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.
- Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
- Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
